Learning what to carry forward
I was born in Charleston and raised on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. Through twenty-two years in the U.S. Air Force, from 1976 to 1998, and in the years since, I kept returning to one question: which of my beliefs did I choose, and which were handed to me?
Emergence is what I found when I started asking. I wrote it for anyone who has felt a familiar belief stop fitting, and wondered what to do with it.
